The Kansas City Storm Hockey Club is proud to announce our Fall/Winter tryouts will be held on 8/12-8/13 at Kansas City Ice Center(KCIC) in Shawnee, KS. The program will be actively looking to fill teams from 10u-16u. We welcome any female player in the KC or surrounding areas to attend. We will also be fielding an 8u team that will be open to our younger skaters. 8u programming will be announced at a later date after the Mite season has begun.

Our 10u/12u programs will continue to be focused on “supplemental” programming that allows the girls to come together as a competitive KC team, while also allowing them to play co-ed house or travel. Supplemental programs come at a game commitment of approx. 25 games.

Our 14u/16u divisions will be focused on competitive Tier II play throughout the Midwest region by utilizing a full travel schedule. More details regarding projected schedule and costs for Storm will be shared with families at the tryouts.

I’m excited to announce a first of its kind joint venture between ourselves and the Omaha Hockey Club.

For the 2023-24’ season we have agreed to support each other in the creation of a 19u – AA, National Bound, hockey team. Our programs have a shared vision of allowing our 19u skaters to have the opportunity to play at a highly competitive level where they can showcase their skills and chase their collegiate aspirations. To that end, it is a natural fit that our programs can come together. I’m very excited for the ability to provide this level of opportunity to our families and look forward to continuing to enhance competitive offerings, at all levels, in the near future.

We invite any and all female players that are in the 16u age division or above who are interested in highly competitive AA-level National Bound hockey to take part in evaluations.
