The Topeka Scarecrows of the Federal Prospects Hockey League is thrilled to bring the return of professional hockey back to Topeka at Stormont Vail Events Center.  Along with professional hockey, this will create a new and revived youth and adult hockey experience through new programming for open skating and youth and adult hockey programs.  Opening home weekend is October 17-18, 2025. 

Bison Ice Sports Association has partnered with the Topeka Scarecrows and Kansas City Youth Hockey Association (KCYHA) to bring youth hockey opportunities to the community. 

Their first Try Hockey For Free event will be Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 2:00-3:00pm at Stormont Vail Events Center. THFF is for boys and girls ages 4-10.  No experience necessary.  Bring Gloves and a bike helmet.
