Required SafeSport Training for Players Seventeen (17) and Over for 2025-2026 Season

If your player is a 2008 birth year or earlier, they are required to take the SafeSport Core Training or Refresher Course PRIOR to participation for the 2025-2026 season.

The SafeSport Training and Refresher Training are each valid for twelve (12) months.  If your player already took the Core module last season, you'll get an email with notice of expiration 30 days before it expires.   It will contain link to login and take Refresher.

Once players have completed the Core SafeSport Course, there will be a Refresher Course available for individuals who have previously completed the core SafeSport course and need to retrain before expiration date.   After completing Refresher 3, you will take the Core Training for the next season.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:
PLAYER MUST COMPLETE THE SAFESPORT ONLINE MODULE BEFORE ANY KCYHA TRAVEL TRYOUTS AND BEFORE PRACTICING! Players will be checked in before any KCYHA tryouts and before your first practice. If you are not in compliance, you will not be able to participate.

WHAT DOES THE TRAINING CONSIST OF?
SafeSport training is an online course which takes approximately 90-120 minutes to complete. After that a "Refresher Course" that takes about 30 minutes to complete is available each subsequent year. There is no cost to members of USA Hockey to complete either training course.  Player must have a current USA Hockey membership # to complete the course.  After you have completed your online training, our USAH portal will update automatically so we know if you have taken it or not.

Thank you for all of your efforts in support of the safety of participants in USA Hockey programs.
